  • providing strong and effective leadership to volunteer teams; assisting with volunteer training by developing a thorough understanding and working knowledge of all volunteer duties;
  • overseeing daily concession set-up and close, including inventory management and licensing control;
  • ensuring cleanliness and readiness of the lobby, identifying issues requiring specialized support and escalating accordingly;
  • effectively communicating with Stage Management and Box Office staff to ensure performances run as smoothly as possible.

QUALIFICATIONS and COMPETENCIES:

  • Candidates should possess strong communication, inter-personal and organizational skills, a flexible and friendly attitude, and be committed to upholding Belfry values of inclusivity and mutual respect.
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to change. Must be comfortable and confident with public speaking.
  • A knowledge and love of theatre is an important asset.
  • Experience in a similar role, whether working in the theatre industry or training through a relevant university program.
  • Basic accounting and math skills, and a familiarity with Word, Excel, and Signup Genius would be assets for this position.
  •  First Aid and Serving It Right Certifications preferred, although the Belfry will provide training for the right candidate.

COMPENSATION:

  • For this position we are offering a starting wage of $20/hour.
