Expect segments of stand-up comedy sharing the growing pains of a nerdy young adult to be woven with tales of the cultural shock that comes with dating in a new country. This show aims to bring joy through laughter and storytelling to share moments of relatable silliness in everyday scenarios through someone else’s shoes.

BIOS

Nathan Hellner-Mestelman would quickly die without a pen in hand. He’s the author of Cosmic Wonder (2024) and The Language of the Stars (2025). He’s a fervent slam poet, unrequited lover of the cosmos, and fiendishly nerdy. His writing has featured in Sky’s Up and the former SkyNews astronomy magazines.

Myles Anderson can often be heard on The Debaters on CBC Radio and was featured on the 2023 Winnipeg Comedy Festival and CBC’s The New Wave of Standup. In 2024, Myles released his new comedy special, Myles Per Hour, with 800 Pound Gorilla Media.

Tori Jones is a multi-disciplinary artist specializing in visual and performance-based arts while living and working as a guest in the unceded territories of the Lekwungen speaking peoples.

Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Thembie Moyo is an award-winning TV producer, playwright, storyteller, multimedia artist, and a proud mother of two daughters. Her plays include I Want to Fly (2019), It’s Just Black Hair (2022), and Unbroken Chains of Ndondo (2023).
