Relaxed Performance – Every Brilliant Thing

We’ll be hosting our first ever Relaxed Performance during our run of Every Brilliant Thing (the play was written by Duncan Macmillan with Jonny Donahoe).
Relaxed Performances are specifically designed to welcome patrons who will benefit from a less restrictive theatre experience.
While everyone is welcome to attend, the audience experience is adapted for those who will benefit from a more relaxed sensory experience and casual environment, including (but not limited to) patrons on the autism spectrum, or with any sensory processing disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, or learning disability.
There will be a relaxed attitude to noise and movement within the theatre and lobby, and some minor production changes will be made to reduce the intensity of light, sound and other potentially startling effects.
These shows are for anyone. Many people may choose to attend a Relaxed Performance for ease of access, or because they like the inclusive environment. Those with physical conditions who have trouble sitting for an extended period of time and babes in arms are also welcome to our relaxed performance.
For our patrons who will benefit from an advance introduction to the theatre experience we will be producing a Visual Story – a short document describing how to get to the Belfry and what to expect when you see the play. Familiarization tours can also be arranged.
To book tickets to this Relaxed Performance, or to discuss any specific requirements you may have, contact Ian Gibson, Audience Services Manager at email@example.com or 250-385-6815.
Pay What You Can Tickets will be available at the door.
