Your Story, Your Voice – Storytelling Workshop with Deborah Williams
Date posted: August 23, 2017
September 22nd – 24th, 2017
Deborah Williams, award winning actor, one of the creators of Mom’s the Word, and co-founder of The Flame in Vancouver and Victoria, is hosting a storytelling workshop at the Belfry from September 22nd – 24th 2017.
In this weekend intensive, Deb will share her decades of storytelling experience, giving you tools to create and share compelling stories. This inclusive and supportive workshop is focused on learning and growth.
New to storytelling, but passionate about it? Bring a short, interesting personal anecdote, and Deb will work with you to get it performance ready, for stage, or around the dinner table. It has to be true, about you, and told in less than 5 minutes.
The evening of Friday, September 22nd will start with a 2-hour meet and greet: a chance to get comfortable with the group and hear an outline of the weekend.
Saturday and Sunday will be working with stories from 10 am – 3 pm. The workshop is both challenging and loads of fun.
The cost for the weekend workshop is $125.00 (plus GST). To register please call the Belfry Box Office at 250-385-6815. Space is limited.
