"...do not miss this ode to life and the theatre." Le Devoir, Montreal
"... a fabulous tribute to the imagination and the beauty of this world... full of warmth and a rare sensitivity." paperblog.fr, Paris
A love letter to life. Mr. Mann, like many of us, is quietly passing through life. A random office draw wins him tickets to the theatre, to see Chekhov's The Three Sisters and in those few precious hours his life begins to make sense. His quiet yearning for happiness seems to take on meaning. And Slowly Beauty... is a fresh, gentle revelation of the beauty of life and the transformative power of art.
A coproduction with the National Arts Centre, Ottawa
by David French,
Directed by Patrick MacDonald
" Jitters is the happiest case of stage fright I have ever encountered." New York Post
"A comedic masterpiece... Jitters is witty, affectionate, bitchy; bitterly touching. French handles a complicated idea with great sophistication." Toronto Star
A delicious backstage comedy about life in the theatre. Jitters opens on the night of a preview of a new play, The Care and Treatment of Roses. Within minutes, the audience is plunged into the world of the theatre - larger-than-life personalities, easily bruised egos, contradictory interpretations of role and script - complicated by faulty props, close quarters, lost lines, and bad reviews, and all magnified by the opening night "jitters" of cast, crew, writer, and director.

Directed by Andrew McIlroy

Three women from three very different walks of life. One actress in a tour de force performance. With great humour, and greater empathy, the author of Sexy Laundry gives voice to three ordinary souls - challenged by the world around them. A surprising and magical encounter propels the final character forward into a world of hope and possibility.
on the edge is a moving testament to womanhood, humanity and life.

Directed by Glynis Leyshon
"Hilarious... crackling wit and raucous physical comedy... it's perfect." Newcity, New York
"Evenings in the theater don't get any funnier than... Yasmina Reza's romp through the weed-filled garden of modern marriage..." TheRecord, New York
"There's much to be said for intelligent entertainment, and God of Carnage fills that bill with more than enough room to spare." Wall Street Journal, New York
A comedy of manners, without the manners. From the author of Art, this Tony and Olivier Award-winning play begins as two power couples, Veronique and Michel, Annette and Alain, meet to amicably resolve a playground fight between their sons. As lines are drawn and allegiances are made and broken, the conversation quickly turns into a laugh-out-loud, train wreck of an evening, complete with clafouti and espresso.

Directed by Britt Small and Jacob Richmond
Choreography by Treena Stubel
Rielle Braid, Kelly Hudson, Elliott Loran, Sarah Pelzer, Kholby Wardell, Carey Wass, and Alex Wlasenko
"...probably the most uproarious and outrageous piece of musical theatre Canada has ever produced." Globe and Mail, Toronto
"...riotously funny, always surprising and filled with five shows' worth of solid ideas." Now Magazine, Toronto
We are pleased to welcome Atomic Vaudeville to the Belfry, showcasing some of Victoria's most talented young performers.
It's a comedy, a tragedy, and a musical ride as a teenage chamber choir from Uranium, Saskatchewan die in a roller coaster accident at a traveling fair. Karnack, a mechanized fortune-telling machine, feels responsible for the young choir's demise, and gives the teens a chance to express themselves to the world after death. Ride the Cyclone is their final recital, where they celebrate their individuality while coming to terms with their untimely demise.

"You'll laugh. You'll cry. Your heart will be full." The Georgia Straight, Vancouver
"I can't remember an audience enjoying itself as much. And I was right in there laughing my head off." Vancouverplays, Vancouver
