The building is a beautifully restored 19th Century Victorian Church, Chapel and attached buildings, located in Victoria’s heritage Fernwood neighbourhood, adjacent to downtown Victoria. The Belfry is a fully wheelchair accessible, climate-controlled facility with two theatre venues, a large lobby, a reception hall / classroom, and production facilities.

Stewart Theatre
Mainstage (Capacity 279
The Stewart Theatre is a handsomely restored performance space with an elevated thrust stage, heritage features and seating on two levels. It is unique, intimate and acoustically pleasing.

Studio A
Theatre (Capacity 90 – 100)
Studio A is an edgy performance space with raked seating and a complete surround of black drapes. It also functions as a rehearsal and reception hall.

Studio B
Studio B is an artfully designed reception and conference room complete with original art and halogen lighting. It has its own street level entrance, washroom facilities and a full service concession. Studio B also serves as a workshop, rehearsal or cabaret space.

Belfry Lobby
This classically restored room acts as the lobby for both performance spaces and also serves as a vibrant reception space. On its perimeter are a full service concession, box office, washrooms and an exterior courtyard featuring illuminated heritage stained glass windows.
